Do NOT place light bulbs in recycling bins. They must be brought to the recycle center for proper handling. Regular incandescent bulbs are considered garbage but CFL’s, florescent bulbs, Halogen bulbs, High-Intensity discharge (HID), or bulbs containing mercury are handled as hazardous bulbs.


Food and beverage containers, soap containers, laundry detergent, etc. Rinsed and lids do not have to be removed. Polystyrene (Styrofoam) #6 plastic is not recyclable even if it has a symbol on it. NO OIL containers or hazardous waste containers. No laundry baskets or storage totes. Plastic bags do not belong in your recycling.

Paper, Books, Magazines

All types of paper including magazines, catalogs, newspapers, phone books, paperback books, office paper, junk mail, envelopes. Please do not put paper plates or cups in the paper. They are coated and often are contaminated with food and it ruins the good recyclables. All boxes must be empty and packaging materials removed.
