Bubble, Shrink, or Film Wrap
This item cannot currently be recycled at Buena Vista County Recycle Center. Retail stores may offer recycling services for bags and film wrap. We encourage proper recycling of these items.
Plastic Toys
Plastic toys are not recyclable. Many times, these have a recycle symbol with a number, but this marking is not identifying the toy as recyclable- it is telling you what type of plastic it is made from. These items if still useable should be donated to resale shops or disposed of in your household trash.
Diapers
Diapers or any other material that is used for hygiene purposes do not belong in the recycling. These need to go into the regular household trash and go the landfill for disposal.
Needles & Syringes
Needles, Syringes, medical waste and other sharps are not recyclable. These items pose a great risk to our staff and others when disposed of improperly.
