Every 5 years, the planning area is required to file an update to our Comprehensive Plan. The plan details programs and strategies to meet waste reduction goals and evaluates current waste management practices and goals for the upcoming 5=6 years. Every City and County is required to file a plan update and the Buena Vista County Solid Waste Agency completes the update for the planning area. You can view the draft update here. Public comments will be accepted in person, by phone, by email or in person at our March 12th Solid Waste Commission meeting.
