The Iowa DNR requires Cities and Counties to prepare a Comprehensive Plan every 5 years to evaluate current waste management practices and efforts to meet waste reduction goals. As a planning area, Buena Vista County Solid Waste prepares the Comprehensive Plan. Here is a draft of the plan update and public comments will be taken in person at our office, by phone, email or at our next solid waste commission meeting on March 12th at 5:00 pm.
